At L'Atelier Edward Gilliam, I work with oil paint on canvas. I am fortunate enough to have received a good education at U.C. Berkeley, and have been influenced by the American Abstract Expressionists and by the Europeans. Much of the interpretable spacial theory I use came to me by way of Hans Hoffman, whose students were my professors.
I have dedicated myself to painting for many years now, with the desire to become a great artist one day. I believe in the life long process, and hope to advance the cause of painting with my work. The world needs credible work that can ennoble it.
