This website is provided by the Madrid Merchants Association. This organization has existed for about 23 years but prior to 2006 only sponsored and organized the famous christmas lights events. We have now expanded our charter to promote tourism in Madrid throughout the year.
The site was created and is maintained by Bruce McIntosh of Wild Dog Road Photography with the artistic direction of three local Artists; Jane Cassidy, Melinda Bonewell and Miriam Misenko. Certain text and images have been provided by individual businesses. The copyright for these materials is retained by these businesses. Please contact the webmaster before copying any of the material in this site.
We have tested the operation of the site with the browsers listed below. This should cover about 99% of the computers in use today. If your favorite isn't listed and you have problems with this site we suggest you download the free Firefox browser For Windows You can find Mac versions by going www.mozilla.com using your Mac computer. Browsers that are shown here but available on Linux or Unix should work properly but have not been tested.

You will find some differences in layout with the erlier browsers but all functions should work properly.
The slide shows are provided using Macromedia/Adobe Flash. You will need a version 7 or later flash plugin to view this content. You should see a message telling you how to get it if you don't have it currently.
The operation of some features use Java Script. This feature is turned off in some browsers for secruity reasons. You will need to enable js for this site to see some of our content.
