While specializing in metal sculpture and jewelry, owner Cassidy Watt has assembled a collection notable for its range of diversity in tone, texture and medium. The gallery’s intimacy brings cohesion to the works of contemporary local artists, bridging from platinum necklaces to dioramas populated with mouse skeletons. Metallo is unified by its compilation of edgy, unsettling beauty.
Cassidy Watt graduated from the New York Institute of Technology in 2002 with a degree in Fine Arts. He moved to Madrid in 2007. After two years learning the trade at Chumani Gallery, he opened Metallo Gallery in 2008. In 2009, Mr. Watt introduced his own line of jewelry, featuring works in silver, copper, bronze and labradorite.
