Conley Studio Pottery is owned and operated by Lisa Conley, Madrid resident. Living in Madrid for over 30 years, Lisa showed her functional stoneware in several shops before opening her own gallery store. The shop is now representing over 40 artists in many media: mostly from New Mexico; including Navajo, Santo Domingo Pueblo, and the local Cerrillos turquoise jewelry by several artists.

Tapestry Gallery - Colorful and eclectic, the textures of TAPESTRY GALLERY whet the senses. Having originated in the 1980's as a weaving studio, it has grown to represent the talents of area handweavers, fiber artists and jewelers. Please join us for a reception and meet the artist Saturday, April 20th from 1:00 - 4:00 pm, as Tapestry Gallery presents tapestry weaver Donna Loraine Contractor's collection of new works titled "RECUCTIVE ARCHITECTONICS - Plus Additions".

CrawDaddy Blues Fest 2014!


The Mine Shaft Tavern is pleased to announce that we will be hosting the 7th Annual - CrawDaddy Blues Fest. The event will be held May 17 and May 18, noon – 7pm next to the Madrid Old Coal Town Museum. Great live blues and Cajun foods! Tickets are $15 Saturday and $15 Sunday. Parking will be available on the north end of town.
The Mine Shaft Tavern brings in fresh live crawfish from Gulf Coast region. If you love crawfish, do not miss this event. In addition, shrimp, hamburgers, BBQ and many other foods will be available. There will be a full bar and plenty of shade. Rain or shine. Kids under 12 are free, no coolers or outside beverages or food allowed.
