We are intrigued with the idea of art created from discarded items and really like the idea of new uses for old things. Whether it's lamps made out of discarded chopsticks, flowerpots from old tires, clocks from discarded computer parts or lamps and shades made from discarded plumbing and license plates, we simply love it.

And we love the much recycled town of Madrid.

Tapestry Gallery - Colorful and eclectic, the textures of TAPESTRY GALLERY whet the senses. Having originated in the 1980's as a weaving studio, it has grown to represent the talents of area handweavers, fiber artists and jewelers.

Gypsy Gem - Rare, native and collectable jewelry, pottery, iron, wood and more. Open 10-6pm

Picture Rock Studio - The studio features Glen's watercolor paintings and sculpture. The gallery itself is a work of sculpture. Please call for an appointment.

Conley Studio Pottery - Lisa's Conley's pottery as well as works from a number of regional artists are offered. On the East side of Hwy 14 near the middle of town. Open mostly every day 10- 5 pm. Please call for appointment, if necessary.

Johnsen and Swan Fine Artisans - Unique regionally handcrafted leather, wood, jewelry, pottery by acclaimed artisans for over 20 years in Madrid.
